History
Ethio-Organic Seed Action (EOSA) is a non-profit, non-governmental Organization (NGO)
established in 2002 with the aim of promoting sustainable management and utilization of
indigenous agrobiodiversity resources and strategies for ensuring local seed security. It was
founded by a group of individuals interested in the sustainable management of agrobiodiversity
resources. Since its establishment, therefore, EOSA has been promoting integrated
agrobiodiversity and seed security programs across Ethiopia's diverse agro-ecological and farming systems.
EOSA is an accredited Slow Food International Award-winner for recovering and protecting Ethiopian
indigenous crop varieties through in situ conservation and enhancement
